Last weekend we were supposed to go camping in Rocky Mountain NP, but we checked the weather & it was calling for 100% chance of rain/freezing rain. We started looking for other campgrounds, but we needed three sites, ideally together. A friend of ours offered us their four-bedroom home in Winter Park. It was perfect. Each adult couple had their own room & the fourth bedroom was filled with bunk beds. On Saturday, we woke up to go hike. We decided on Columbine Lake Trail. It was a seven-mile hike with over 1000 feet elevation gain.
