Someone had told us at Fern Lake Falls that there was a moose at Cub Lake, which was our inspiration to hike there. The view of the lake from above was gorgeous, but we don't seem to have a picture of it. When we got down there, we couldn't see a moose and then all of a sudden we saw something walking in the woods above the lake. He eventually made his way down into the lake, which we that was pretty fantastic.

We found these remains along the trail. Something had a sad death. 

We originally thought this was part of the skull, but upon further investigation, we decided it was hip sockets.
