We walked up the river on this hike called the Narrows. Sometimes we could walk on the side of the river, but mostly we had to walk through the river. Sometimes the water was up to ankles, mostly to our knees, but occasionally it got up to our waists. The water was cold and because we were in a canyon, the air was cool, too. This bottom picture shows a section of the river that actually went above where our dry suits covered. Mom got a little water in her pants. Fortunately, Caden had a dry suit, so he was good. Dad tried to help Wyatt by lifting him up a bit. The middle picture was also a section that went to just below our dry suits. The hike total RT was about 8 miles. It was gorgeous, interesting, and challenging.
